Manuscript Preparation and Submission

The Proceedings of the ADASS XIV meeting will be published by The Astronomical Society of the Pacific and one copy is included as part of the registration fee. To ensure prompt publication of the Proceedings, and to ensure that your paper is included, please follow the instructions below or contact one of the editors listed below.

You must complete the ASP copyright form! Authors of all presentations must sign the copyright agreement with the publisher, and return it to the Proceedings editors before their paper can be accepted for publication. Authors must conform to the copyright policy of the Proceedings publisher. If you did not complete and sign a copyright form at the meeting, please retrieve the form and fax it to ADASS at 626-568-9352.

Checklist for Paper Submission
  • Download the ADASS LaTex macro and instructions (tar format). Follow the instructions therein to prepare your paper.
  • Note the page limits specified above. Page limits will be strictly enforced and papers exceeding this limit will be returned to the authors for resubmission.
  • Check to be sure you have included an abstract. Papers without abstracts will be returned to the authors for resubmission.
  • Use a spell checker!
  • Check your paper carefully and make sure it's LaTeX compliant.
  • Make sure that you have signed and returned a copy of the ASP copyright form.
  • Upload the LaTeX copy of your manuscript along with any computer graphics in EPS format to the IPAC ftp server:
    anon-ftp.ipac.caltech.edu/incoming/adass2004

    Identify the LaTeX copy by using the paper identification code, e.g., O4.1.TEX. Any EPS files should be identified in a similar way, e.g., O4.1_1.eps, O4.1_2.eps.

    Electronic manuscripts must be received no later than November 19, 2004 in order to be assured publication in the Proceedings.
